About Your Therapist

Lance Kidwell, Owner/Therapist

I am an Intuitive Coach, Energy Healer, and a Body Worker. My journey with health and wellness came from a decade long search to find a productive outlet for my native empathy and desire to help others. Early on, I knew I wanted a job that kept me healthy and helping others. I attended college for a variety of health related fields, switching majors a half dozen times before deciding to take a break to reevaluate my goals. Most fields in modern medicine didn’t give me a genuine way to connect with clients on a deeper level. Broken and frustrated, I stopped pursuing modern medicine. Eventually, I found Somatic Emotional Bodywork and discovered meaning, vibrancy, and joy.

When I first discovered Somatic Emotional Bodywork, I was struck by the depth of the emotional and spiritual healing that went on behind the scenes. Unlike a typical Swedish or Deep Tissue massage, where the ultimate goal is physical relaxation and working problem spots, Somatic Emotional Bodywork opened a door for deep introspective healing. A single session had given me so much beneficial and relevant information that I found myself taking notes on all the numerous revelations so I could go apply what came up in the session to my life. The most interesting aspect? My therapist and I had hardly spoken during the entire process! This was different than traditional Psychotherapy for me, where I found it difficult to engage deep problems or find words to wrap up some of the most challenging elements in my life. I, like many others, was rather uncomfortable being vulnerable with any therapist. Bodywork allowed me to take a swan dive into my own spirit, and to engage my own wounds, draw my own conclusions, and work on my own solutions, without feeling stripped naked and judged by someone else. Somatic Emotional Bodywork can be a wonderful life hack for getting to the root issues of our problems. I noticed that I didn’t fall asleep or zone out like in a regular massage. Instead I  went into what I now understand to be a meditative trance, and that is where we get unparalleled access to our subconscious elements, our Shadow, and if we go deep enough, our raw spiritual essence. For me, this is where magic happens, and transformation takes place.

Bodywork provides me with a way to help others process, heal, and grow while fostering genuine human connection. This work has been a blessing for my own growth and development, as it requires me to stay centered and connected. Lomi Lomi is my favorite practice because when I give a Lomi, I leave feeling recharged, with more energy and joy than when I started. It fills my spiritual cup! As a therapist, this is the equivalent of finding the holy grail.

Coaching is the natural progression of what I do as a Bodyworker. If we want big shifts, we need to release old patterns of being and boldly embrace new ones! Most everyone has struggled with making lasting changes that stick. Through my own path, I have found a few tricks to make that spiritual glue we all need to radically embody lasting change! I want to see you on fire for life, sharing your light with others, and deeply satisfied with who you are.

Apart from my practice, I enjoy anything that expands my world. I live in the desert, where I get to be reminded that the beauty and healing can be found in the harshest conditions. I am most inspired by architecture and the way it shapes human interactions. I love to cook, dance, shoot reels, travel and build. I feel most at peace when I find a natural hot spring to enjoy.

Be Well!
